Celeste bought her first BLM T-shirt at Levinsky's in Biddeford and listened to the Blimp on her boombox while catching rays by the lifeguard stand in OOB. She became a D.J. with WBLM in August 1989, and she loves every day of hanging out with the station's hilarious, salty listeners. She feels blessed to have such great friends, and her two daughters and husband, Mark, are the best people she knows. She also loves to travel together and enjoy sushi for Family Date Night.

Usually back to school commercials have me groaning and rolling my eyes. Not this one! I have the dull remnants of a Whitesnake buzz still moving through my system, thanks to their show on the Maine State Pier recently. Now I find myself in the awkward position of being jealous of these children...
What is the Most Expired Food in Your Fridge?
Today is trash day in my neighborhood, so last night Mark cleaned out the refrigerator. It was horrifying. The worst was the bag of baby spinach that had been forgotten in the crisper drawer. Actually, no, it was the cilantro under the bag of spinach that got the the blue ribbon...

Vintage Maine, Remember These Chairs?

There are some stores that Maine doesn't have. A few months ago I shopped at Ikea for the very first time, it was amazing! My west Coast family spends a lot of time stocking up at Costco and I've always wanted to see it for myself. A couple weeks ago I was on vacation in California and my mother in law took me shopping at Costco for the very first time...
Halloween Comes to Maine Early! Too Early?
Living in Maine is frustrating at times because retail is always rushing us into the next season. I took these pictures at Michael's on July 28th, right in the middle of summer. I had been shopping for a one piece swimsuit for my ten year old the week before and couldn't find one anywhere, just like I couldn't find a decent pair of flip flops to replace the ones that I absolutely trashed on my vac
My Scarborough Indoor Flea Market Finds
This Sunday I was still recovering from the sunburn that I got the Sunday before, so I decided to skip the beach and check out the Southern Maine Indoor Flea Market on Rt.1 in Scarborough. Like all shopping, it can be a little hit or miss...
