Artist Spotlight: The Avett Brothers [VIDEO]

The Avett Brothers began in the late 1990’s when brothers Scott and Seth Avett started kicking around with guitars and banjos in their hometown of Concord, North Carolina.

With Bob Crawford on bass, the Avett Brothers released their first full-length album in 2002.  Their latest album The Carpenter debuted at number 4 on the Billboard Top 200 and received a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album.

Touring members include Joe Kwon on cello and Mike Marsh on drums.

The Avett Brothers draw on many influences from punk, rock and pop to country, folk and bluegrass.  You can catch them in Bangor on Friday, September 13th at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion.
