MDEA Agents and Bangor Police wrapped up a week-long investigation Thursday evening, by arresting 37-year-old Jason Pete, of Waterbury, Connecticut, in Bangor.

The investigation revealed that Pete, who is currently on probation in Maine for drug trafficking, was bringing drugs from Waterbury, CT to Bangor for distribution.

Agents located Pete’s rental vehicle travelling north on I-95 and followed him to a Bangor residence. Agents and Bangor Police searched Pete and the vehicle seizing over 900 individual bags of suspected heroin, along with thirteen grams of cocaine base (crack) and $700 in cash. The street value of the drugs was at least $25,000.

Pete was taken into custody and charged with aggravated trafficking in heroin & cocaine base, both Class A felony crimes. He will also have to answer for violating his probation. Pete remains at the Penobscot County Jail.
