An Easton man has been indicted for murder as The Aroostook County Grand Jury completed its second session of 2018, handing down 35 indictments against 34 people.

Maine State Police charged 37-year-old James Peaslee in the January 17 slaying of Paul Hilenski at his home in Bridgewater. Peaslee was picked up driving on the West Ridge Road in Easton several hours after Hilenski's body was found.

Other indictments related to a drug trafficking ring in Sherman and a number of domestic violence and criminal threatening cases, according to information provided by District Attorney Todd R. Collins.
