When you're living on a fixed income, as many seniors are, it's a good idea to find ways to save some money. Especially when it comes to over the counter drugs.

There seems to be some good news on the horizon for seniors and how they will be able to save money on over the counter drugs at Walmart.

Beginning in January of 2019, health insurance carrier Anthem and retail giant Walmart have plans in the works to team up to help seniors on fixed incomes to save money on their OTC drugs.

The colaboration between Walmart and Anthem came from a recent press release put out by the retial giant.

According to the press release, the Anthem-Walmart program will allow customers, who are enrolled in Anthem's affiliated Medicare Advantage plans to use OTC plan allowances to purchase OTC medications as well as health-related items.

Items such as, but not limited to, support bras and pain relievers on their website at Walmart.com and at any one of their 4,700 stores.
