This was the 33rd year for the Maine Potato Conference, held this week at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center.

Potato producers, crop advisors, and farm workers were invited to attend the two-day event to hear speakers talk about challenges in agriculture and potential solutions, increasing yield potential, crop rotation, harvesting, handling and storing potatoes in warm weather and many other agriculture related topics.

The 2-day event kicked off Wednesday morning and will wrap up Thursday afternoon. The potato conference is sponsored by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
