Annie Charles and Friends Benefit Concert at CPAC

A free concert Saturday evening at the Caribou Performing Arts Center will feature gospel singer and former Aroostook Idol Annie Charles.

Annie and Friends are set to take the stage at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 2. Jason Parent will emcee the event, which is free and open to the public. Donations will be received to benefit Lena’s House, a freedom from drugs and alcohol program based in Presque Isle.

One year after relocating to northern Maine from Orlando, Florida, Annie Charles won the 2007 Aroostook Idol competition, now known as Northern Star.  Since then she has performed at many area churches, schools, parades, weddings, as well as other events and ceremonies.

Lena’s House, based at the Family Christian Center in Presque Isle, was established in memory of Elena Lozada to help young women and men with drug and alcohol addictions. You can connect with Lena’s House on Facebook here.
