Angourie Rice is having a great year. After starring in Shane Black’s The Nice Guys opposite Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, she recently joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming alongside Tom Holland and Zendaya. Now, she’s got another job lined up as she has just joined the cast of The Beguiled, Sofia Coppola’s (Lost in Translation, The Virgin Suicides) remake of the 1971 Clint Eastwood movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Beguiled takes place in a Southern girls’ academy during the Civil War. When a wounded Union soldier is taken there to convalesce from his injuries, he makes the women there fall in love with him and turns them all against each other, stirring up a maelstrom of lust and jealousy. Colin Farrell has been cast in Eastwood’s role as the soldier, and Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, Kirsten Dunst, and Rice will all play the lonely residents of the school.

Rice was one of the standouts of this spring’s fantastic The Nice Guys, giving her role as the Gosling’s detective’s daughter plenty of smarts and sass. We wouldn’t be disappointed to see a Nice Guys spinoff featuring just her, to be honest.

The Beguiled doesn’t currently have a release date or a production schedule, but is expected to come out sometime in 2017.
