According to the Maine State Police Troop F report, 63-year old Ricky Castonguay of Washburn, Maine was traveling north on Hines Street on Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Castonguay was driving a 1997 Lincoln when he drifted off the right side of the road, then steering to the left and completely crossing the road and then traveled off the opposite side of the road, traveled up the front yard of a nearby residence where the vehicle ran over a small tree before driving into a ditch.

After more maneuvering, Castonguay drove off the property and went over a half mile to his own residence where he stopped and exited his vehicle.

The property owner, which incurred property damage, reported the incident to police.

Tr. Patrick Pescitelli assisted in the investigation and Castonguay was transported by Crown Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Castonguay has been charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol and with Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.
