The Aging Well Living Well Expo is returning on May 15, for its fifth year.

As the Expo is focused on helping people lead independent and active lives, individuals of all ages are encouraged to attend.
“We are all aging,” explained Joy Barresi Saucier, Executive Director of the Aroostook Agency on Aging. “As we age, it is important that we learn as much as possible and understand the resources available to us. This keeps us active and engaged in our community, which in turn ensures our communities continue to thrive.”
Held at the Smith Wellness Center at Northern Maine Community College, the event is coordinated by the Aroostook Agency on Aging, in partnership with major sponsors Cary Medical Center, Northern Maine Community College, TAMC, and WAGM.
The event will begin shortly after 9am with a welcome and introduction of this year’s keynote speaker, Aroostook native and author Cathie Pelletier, who will share a talk titled “Words of Wisdom”.
In addition to the keynote, this daylong event will showcase 3 breakout sessions offering a total of 27 different brief talks covering a variety of topics to help people age and live well. Exhibitors from a variety of local social service programs and businesses offering services will be on hand to answer questions and share information. A buffet lunch is planned.
Registration materials are available at the Aroostook Agency on Aging, local hospitals, or by visiting www.aroostookaging.org. Early Bird registration by May 4th is encouraged to receive a $5 registration fee. For more information call the Agency at 764-3396.
