Last week, A Tribe Called Quest revealed they would be dropping their final album We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service on Nov. 11. Now it's been revealed they'll be performing on SNL, and get this—Dave Chappelle will be hosting the show, reports The Wrap.

Dave has shied away from the small screen since deading the legendary Chapelle's Show in 2006, so it's a huge surprise to see him returning to TV, let alone a show as big as SNL. Lorne Michaels must have pulled some crazy strings—or maybe it's just the fact that a legendary rap group is performing that did it.

Earlier this week, the New York Times published a heartfelt story on the making of Tribe's new album, revealing that Kendrick Lamar, André 3000, Elton John and others will be featured on the LP. Tip talks about rekindling his friendship with Phife during the making of the record, and Jarobi White even says, “Doing this album killed him. And he was very happy to go out like that.”

Tune in to SNL Nov. 12 to see Tribe perform with Dave Chappelle as the host.
