Life in Maine is a good life. However, most of the people who are from away have preconceived ideas about what we do here and how we live. Are they right or wrong?

    Eat Lobstah Every Day

    Not sure about you, but if I eat lobster 3 times in one year, that one too many times for me. I can how people think we're so in love with the crustacean that we would want to ingest it every day.

    Everybody Wears Flannels

    I don't know, but maybe Bob and Doug McKenzie had something to do with this. Whenever you saw these two 'hoser's', they were always seen wearing flannel shirts. Not to mention Maine 'hoseheads' proudly wearing the flannel plaid in their videos. Not something we wear all the time. Eh!

    Northern Maine Is Basically Canada

    No. Northern Maine is 'basically' America, however, we are able to visit stores and neighbors in Canada, and they're able to come visit us. A great package deal!

    There's Not Much To Do In The Winter

    Oh, To the Contrary! We have skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and an occasional snowball fight now and then, to say the least.

    Moose Are Adorable

    Um, Yeah! They are until you hit one. That could make them not so adorable in the eyes of some. But it's not like we have relationships with the beasts on a daily basis.
