5 Stupid Things People Do When It’s Windy Outside That They Probably Shouldn’t
For some reason, when severe weather warnings hit the area, storms and wind tend to bring out the real 'stupid' in people. But we don't have to be like them.
I don't know about you, but when it's really windy out like it's been in the County lately, I tend to err on the side of caution and not have some grandiose thoughts that I'm Evel Knievel or something.
However, it works just the opposite for some people in the area.
Here are 5 things that are dumb to do when it's windy outside, so please don't play the hero and attempt to do these activities during a severe weather wind storm.
Um, yeah! Flying in a hot air balloon on a calm day is one thing, but on a very windy day is a whole other ride. The last thing you need is a 50 mph wind gust swooping you up and banging you back to the ground when you're trying to make a landing. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.
Alright, Clark Griswold! As if trying to hold Christmas lights in the right place, while balancing with one foot on a ladder and then trying to staple the crazy thing in place. Knowing your luck, the wind would blow you off the ladder with the lights wrapped around your ankle as it jerks you to the ground. No thanks!
Out of all the other days, you could have climbed up the extension ladder to the roof to inspect tiles, you had to pick THIS day? You'd better nail yourself down and the ladder because if not, the ladder will be on the ground and you may find yourself hanging from one hand onto the rain gutter as you hear the creaking of the nails pulling out of the fascia boards.
Sure, why not? Seems like a genius idea. I know you're a har-core golfer and you'll not let ANYTHING get in your way of a good game with the boys, but the stories at the club after the game with consist of how many balls you sent flying through the woods and into the neighbor's house.
What a great idea! That is until you get back in the house and your wife asks you why your breath smells like Weed-B-Gone. Plus, tomorrow, you may find that your neighbors plush, green lawn is looking a little browner than usual.
