This may count as a sign from above.

During a memorial service for the victims of the Orlando shooting massacre, a photographer captured a memorable sight. As the names of the 49 victims were being read, the anonymous photographer snapped a picture of 49 birds flying overhead.

"Who took the photo is not as important as what is in it," the photographer said. "May everyone find healing and peace."

The photographer didn't realize the exact number of birds until she counted them while looking at the photo. "Seeing the birds made me feel a sense of peace about the tragedy," she said.

Those weren't the only birds that made an impression. In nearby Lakeland, 49 doves were sent into the air in honor of the victims.

These are just the latest stories to emerge in the wake of the shootings that can put a smile on people's faces in the face of tragedy, ranging from the heroes who acted valiantly in the face of death to the outpouring of support from around the globe to a simple song.
