A historic day in MLB postseason play...21 home runs, 61 runs scored. That has never been done before!

When the dust settled, the Cubbies, the Mets, the Blue Jays and the Royals were winners.

The Cubs became the first team to hit six homers in a playoff game in their 8-6 win over the St. Louis Cards. The Cubbies lead the series 2-1.

The Mets beat the Dodgers 13-7 with two home runs. But, it was Curtis Granderson with five RBI, without a homer.

In the American League, the Blue Jays staved off elimination with a 8-4 win over Texas. Toronto hit three homers.

And the Royals forced a winner-take-all game five by beating the Houston Astros 9-6. They scored five runs in the 8th inning to come from behind.
