It's Gold for the U.S.A. It’s a ‘Super Sunday’ as the 2014 Youth/Junior Biathlon World Championships at the Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle continue. The roars of the crowd as these athletes make all five of their rifle shots is infectious. The medals for the Youth Men 10 km Pursuit have been given.

The Gold went to Sean Doherty of the United States.

Sean's Grandmother Winnie O'Shaugnessy was here to witness his win and emotions were high when we had a chance to talk to her.  Click below to listen.

Finishing in third place and claiming the Bronze was Russia's Dimitrii Shamaev.

The Junior Men 12.5 km Pursuit began at 2:30 Eastern and garnered Fabian Claude of France a Gold medal.  Silver went to Alexander Povarnitsyn of Russia, while Bronze went to Jarle Midthiell Gjoerven of Norway.  Remember you can watch all the action of Biathlon by following this link.
