104th Meth Lab Bust This Year in Maine [PHOTOS]
Hallowell Police busted an active meth lab in the basement of a home at 11 Spring Street, Wednesday night.
MDEA arrested 36-year-old Christopher Kessell for trafficking in methamphetamine. Kessell, who lives at the house, was taken to the Kennebec County Jail in Augusta, said officials.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Meth Lab team gathered evidence at the single family home on Thursday. Drug Agents say they found a substantial amount of meth and the ingredients to make the drug in the basement.
MDEA was assisted at the scene by the Hallowell Fire Department, Maine DEP and Hallowell Police.
This is the 104th meth response by the drug agency this year. There were 56 meth busts last year.
